Who is it?
Join Shae, Joe, and Kevin as they tackle races, talk with friends, and get up to silly shenanigans
We are all runners living in Ocala, Florida and part of the Marion County Runs group. We love running road and trail and have a love/hate relationship with speedwork. We run everything from 5k to 500k races and unlike reality tv contestants, we are here to make friends.

Shaebay
Shae has been running since 2017 after retiring from six years of playing roller derby. She ran her first ultra in 2018 and has been hooked ever since. Her proudest accomplishments have been Vol State 500k, HOTS (350mi), the Across Florida 200, and the Tampa 100 which she did entirely with her friend Tiffany as Tiff’s first 100 mile finish! She loves doing really stupid adventure runs like the cafecito run (visiting 4 cuban cafes in 20 miles), the Painted Horse Urban Ultra, and whatever else she can think up!

Joe
Joe calls himself a Lazy Trail Runner, he is a former elite powerlifter, strength coach, combat veteran, and retired Chief of Police. In 2020, after a career requiring mandatory Physical Fitness Tests, he discovered that running could actually be fun. Since taking up running he has lost over 100 lbs. and has been cured of diabetes and a litany of weight related health conditions.
Joe has run everything from 5k to 50k distances and is currently training for his first 100 miler. He loves to volunteer at races, crew and pace runners, and leads the group “Marion County Runs Sherpas for the Across Florida 200” supporting runners as they attempt the ACFL 200.
He wants everyone to learn that fitness is about the journey, not the destination.
